Il Social Housing come strumento di sviluppo economico e sociale: l’esempio di una residenza di Social Housing nel centro di Torino

L’articolo vuole porre l’attenzione sulle trasformazioni urbane e sociali che hanno subito le città negli ultimi decenni e vuole affrontare il tema del Social Housing, come strumento per rilanciare lo sviluppo economico locale e per risolvere alcuni problemi della società contemporanea. In particolare sarà analizzato l’intervento di Social Housing realizzato nel centro storico di Torino. L’edificio adibito a Social Housing ha interessato un vecchio edificio di metà Ottocento, che è stato ristrutturato secondo i criteri di riconoscibilità e reversibilità del restauro, e rispettando le recenti normative in materia di risparmio energetico.

The article wants to focus on the transformations that cities have experienced in recent decades and to address the issue of Social Housing as a tool to revitalize local economic development and address some of the problems of contemporary society. In particular we will analyze the intervention of Social Housing realized in the historic center of Turin. The building used for Social Housing was an old mid-nineteenth century building, which was restructured according to the criteria of recognizability and reversibility of restoration, in addition to adapting the architectural complex respecting the recent energy saving regulations.

Marco Della Rocca, Dottorando presso il Dipartimento di Storia, Architettura e Design del Politecnico di Torino. Consegue il titolo di Laura Magistrale in Architettura, costruzione e città presso il Politecnico di Torino. La sua tesi di dottorato si occupa di architettura civile realizzata a Trento tra il 1815 e il 1918, con uno sguardo particolarmente attento agli ultimi anni del XIX secolo. L’ultimo suo saggio in corso di stampa è: “Le Scuole magistrali: un esempio di politica di potenziamento scolastico in Trentino” in “Archivio Trentino”.

Marco Della Rocca, Ph.D. at the Department of History, Architecture and Design of the Politecnico of Turin. He holds a degree in Architecture, Construction and Town from the Politecnico of Turin. His doctoral thesis deals with the civil architecture realized in Trento between 1815 and 1918, with a particularly attentive look at the last years of the nineteenth century. His latest essay in the press is: “Magistral Schools: An Example of School Enhancement in Trentino” in “Archivio Trentino”.
